In March 1994 the Group invested in the Portfolio Design Group, a
company which, through its trading subsidiary Surrenda-link, has been
instrumental in shaping the way the traded endowment market operates
today. It is a leading UK trader of with-profits life endowment
policies, selling to large financial institutions. In 2002 the company
diversified into investment management.
